Historic Cottages Project – An Invitation

YOU ARE INVITED!

Join us as we prepare for the Alden Depot’s 120th year anniversary in 2027. Participate in the exciting new Historic Cottages Project during the month of June 2026!
If you currently own property that has/had a cottage built before 1960, then we’d like to hear the cottage’s story. Our goal is to honor the role of early Resorters on Torch Lake by making these stories a permanent part of the Museum’s archives.

We’ll conduct interviews at the Museum to learn about your cottage’s history. When did your family come to Torch Lake and why? When was your cottage built and what makes it special? Do you have old photos? We’d love to see them, as well.

RSVP to request an interview packet, schedule an interview or to help as a volunteer.

Please contact Peg Comfort, Project Leader.
