The Museum has extended hours beginning in 2026. Thanks to a generous donor, we will be open Friday – Sunday from May 25th through October 11th
A docent is present to answer questions and operate the trains Friday 1-4 and Saturday/Sunday 11-4

Annual Antique and Cottage Décor Sale held the last Saturday in June 9am-5pm. Buyers and Sellers wanted!!!
Bring your gently used home and garden décor and antique pieces including furniture (no clothing) to sell at the depot during this established community event. Share 20% of profits with the Museum. Note: Sellers must pick up their tickets the Thursday and Friday prior to the sale 10a-12noon (a ticket must be completed to identify the price and seller # and attached to each item you are selling). Annual Model Train Show the last 3 weekends in August
Held by the Northern Michigan Railroad Club inside the Museum and under the portico, this is a popular train show and swap. Bring the kids and train enthusiasts to enjoy the multiple interactive train layouts featuring all gauges. Hours: First of the three weekends’ Saturday and Sunday 10-4.
